Decide What the 200-Piece Reference Covers
The minimum counts per size, so quantities of different SKUs are not combined to reach it. Keep each planned quantity beside its own size, structure and artwork.
Two SKUs may look alike while needing different tooling or print setups. Ask the factory to state which, if any, production steps can be shared.

What to Send for a Quantity Discussion
For each SKU, provide product dimensions, filled weight, planned quantity, packaging structure, paper or board direction and destination.
List artwork versions, print and finish needs, and whether you require a physical sample.
Mark undecided inputs as open. Ask the quotation to identify the counting unit, tooling lines and production schedule for each configuration.

Confirm the structure with a sample made for the packed product. An unsuitable bag or box makes quantity discussions irrelevant.

Treating the minimum as the best price
The 200-piece reference is a lower starting point, not a price curve. Compare quoted unit and total costs at quantities you can use.

When a cutting die, foil or embossing die, or printing plate is needed, starting tooling fees are about USD 50 per item. Ask which items are required for the selected construction.
A physical sample checks fit, finish, closure or handle, and packed-use details before bulk approval. Any sample fee or timetable belongs in the quotation.
Dies and plates are kept on file and reused free for repeat orders with the same design. Confirm any design change in the repeat-order quotation.
